Vaccines will be available to first responders and those over 75
Families in California are seeing one of their favorite vacation destinations turn into a one-stop “super” vaccination station.
Crews have been working tirelessly to transform a cast member parking area at Disneyland into a site where thousands could receive their coronavirus vaccine.
Take a look at the site progress below.
The vaccination site is expected to open later this week to first responders in high-risk areas. People over the age of 75 will also be able to receive their dose as well.
The Disneyland Resort has been closed since March and was the only Disney theme park unable to reopen last summer.
Recently the park reopened Downtown Disney, the theme park’s shopping district.
The shopping area offers families a chance to experience a slice of the Disney magic while the theme park is shut down.
We reached out to Walt Disney World to see if it had any plans to introduce a site similar to their sister park.
So far, the company has only said that it is working with state officials and is prepared to help any way it can.
